Funeral procession scheduled through south Tyler

Tyler Fire Department Patch with the name of late Fire Department Engineer Scott Starkey and day of passing May 16, 2026.

There will be a funeral procession through parts of south Tyler on May 27, in honor of the late Tyler Fire Department Driver/Engineer Scott Starkey. The route will begin at Flint Baptist Church (11131 FM 2868, Flint, TX) and end at Bascom Cemetery (12489 FM 848, Tyler, TX). A picture of the route is attached.

Be advised that traffic could be briefly affected during this time.

The funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the procession.
